Kallmet, which is an ancient autochthonous Albanian variety cultivated in the area of origin and spread mainly in the districts of Lezha and Shkodra. The average yield in Kallmet vineyards destined for this summer does not exceed 50 Kv/Ha. The harvest is late, 2-3 weeks later than the rest of the grapes destined for the next two summers, when the grapes are overripe and have just begun to shrivel on the vine.

This differentiation has been realized since 2010 in the Kallmet Canteen, considering the superior characteristics of the Kallmet grape, produced exclusively in some vineyards in the clay soils of the village of Kallmet.
Offered by SEA (Studio Enologico Associato), Italy. The grapes are harvested by hand and in the overripe stage and very careful selection is made. Fermentation is done at a controlled temperature. This wine is aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks, then 12 months in French oak barrels and 12 months in bottles before release.
It is presented with a blood-red color, expressed and diverse where the typical aromas of the variety stand out, sufficiently tannic, full-bodied and balanced. The pleasant characteristics of overripeness are distinguished, with secondary and tertiary aromas also coming to the fore. The alcoholic strength, depending on the year of production, ranges from 14-15% Vol.
Goes well with seasoned salami antipasti, mincemeat pasta, oven-roasted red meats and mushroom dishes. Recommended serving temperature: 16 – 18°C. It is also recommended to be consumed after the third year of production to enjoy its maximum. The bottle should be opened before consumption according to the advice of the sommelier and depending on the age of the wine.
